Quick Background Information
Solar water heaters have been an overlooked energy source in the last 50 years. Solar water heaters were originated by the Romans in their public bath houses, the Romans used glass and the sun to heat their pools to comfortable temperatures. In the early 1900's solar water heaters were reinvented by Americans. They were being used in several cities and were providing people clean and cheap hot water. The design had changed and had become even more efficient. Sadly, the systems were eventually taken over when big gas companies stormed in and solar water heaters disappeared almost completely from the market. Today, with the green technologies revolution in full force, we could use the ancient solar water heating technologies the Romans had created during their time. More efficient models would be created and the people would once again begin buying the optimal systems. The time has come for a change in the way we heat our water and solar water heaters are the most reliable, cheapest, and cleanest solution. New technologies have been developed with these heaters and the efficiency has increased significantly. The future is upon us, the future is solar water heaters. |
